DESCRIPTION: Designed in a similar vein to a Sage's Nouliths Lavinia created eight "funnels", each designed to stay on standby at rest on Lavinia's skirt, specifically tailored to her waist. At their core however each of the eight act as autonomous drones, only functioning with the commands and orders of their creator.

MAGITEK FUNCTIONS: The "Nightingale" Funnels vary depending on the Master's commands. At their core they assist in ensuring swift medical diagnosis and treatment. They can also switch between this standby mode to a combat protocol, using the funnels to fire off lighting shocks towards enemies or to erect a magitek shield. However due to its current limitations only one protocol can be active at once and must wait a short time before switching back (2 post length)

POWER SOURCE: Although the drones only function within a 15 ft radius around the user they are still powered by docking with Lavina's armored skirt, which is powered by miniature magitek energy core on its back. Should the power run dry or other influences prevent its use the funnels will cease to function.

BACKSTORY/CREATOR: Created during Lavinia's early adulthood as an assistant to her medical training. However she eventually expanded the arsenal to also include combat capabilities on a less significant scale, as well as a defense protocol in case of emergencies. While limitations are present in its current form she hopes to break free of them eventually and create both a mobile platform that can not only act for medical purposes but also fighting as well.

Lavinia jen Septima, "aspiring medicus" of the Garlean Empire is not one many might assume is following such a profession. Although her appearance is just painfully average by physical and height standards Lavi established some quirks that makes her stand out from the crowd.
Her bright hair and inability to follow the dress code (unless absolutely necessary) are just some of the noticeable features her fellow coworkers and Garleans would take note of within a moment of spotting the hyur. While not to the same level as something a peasant would wear, it does a good job at describing the type of individual Lavi flip flops between. One day she can be a more amusing and considerate individual, and the next the passionate medic who will do anything and everything that her imagination sparks up.

One Step At A Time
Lavinia's early life is nothing that would wow the masses or be storybook material. Born in Garlean as the only child to a working technician family Lavinia obsession with helping others by means of magitek started at an early age. Fascination turned into plans, plans turned into reality, and the process continued with each passing day of her life. Her peers commonly called her the next aspiring Magitek Queen, even if such a title or position didn't exist in the first place.
However the more Lavinia invested herself in the field and research, the more did the Hyur slowly begin to lose who she was at her core. The optimistic and understanding individual begin to develop a different side of her, where her bright smile was replaced with a sinister look. Devotion towards helping others seeped into the territory of private unethical practices, kept under wraps to ensure her name wouldn't be sullied by any bystanders. And when someone else managed to outperform her in some way she went back to the drawing board, wondering how she can show them up in any way.
And as Lavinia got older did the encouragement from her parents to join the Garlean Army, knowing full well that their daughter's talents alongside the other technicians and medicus would earn her the recognition she deserves. And to nobody's surprise upon enlisting in the ranks Lavinia quickly made a name for herself for her deep understanding and inner workings of not only her own magitek creations but also in general. While rumors did spread where a nobody like herself came from, as well as whether or not she was hiding something beneath the surface the young soldier smiled and continued on with her day.
After all there was always work to be done or someone who needed saving. So long as they didn't care how Lavinia would be there to do what she needs to do.
