- A certain level of roleplay ability is expected from players who wish to claim canon positions within Broken Crowns. Staff members may evaluate the roleplay ability of players if deemed necessary. This evaluation ensures that players can effectively portray and embody their chosen canon character, contributing to a high-quality and immersive roleplay experience.
- Players are allowed to claim up to one canon character within Broken Crowns. This limitation ensures a diverse representation of beloved characters from various sources, enhancing the depth and richness of our roleplaying landscape. The acquisition of a second canon character requires further discussion and approval from the staff to ensure fairness and balance.
- Players are allowed to reserve canon characters in Broken Crowns for a maximum duration of one week. This reservation ensures that players have an opportunity to prepare and submit their character applications. If a complete or mostly complete application is not posted within the one-week timeframe, the reserved position will become open for other players to claim. This policy promotes fairness and encourages timely engagement in character creation.
- Please note that for canon characters, ranking up on the Ascendant Path is not possible. The ranks listed on the canon page are fixed and serve as a crucial aspect of the character's role within the overarching story of Broken Crowns. Canon characters are primarily intended to serve as plot devices, driving the narrative forward and providing key interactions and developments within the story. Therefore, the ranks assigned to canon characters are integral to their predefined roles and should not be altered or modified during gameplay.
- All players must maintain an active presence by posting at least once a week with their chosen canon character. Regular activity ensures ongoing engagement and prevents stagnation within the roleplay community.
- Players are expected to adhere to the personality and appearance description of their chosen canon character, staying true to their established traits and characteristics. However, minor variations or alterations can be discussed and approved by the staff to accommodate creative interpretations and personalization.
- As prominent figures within Broken Crowns, players with canon characters are encouraged to actively participate in furthering the overall plot of the world and contributing to the development of other characters.
