Solana, is a member of a tribe of Xaela within the western steppe of Othard. Vibrant red hair is accented by pale skin, bright hues, and dark black scales and horns. Her body is lithe, and petite; much like most women of the Au'ra clans, barely standing more than 155cm. [break][break]
She is clad in bright flowing fabrics, designed to keep the heat from her body and whisk away moisture, while still breathable. Jewels and gold line her vestige and the horns that curl around her face. In her hand or tied to her back is a long black staff of woven branches and fastened jewels.

Solana was born to the nomadic Orben tribe, as the daughter of the chieftain. Their people lived amongst the waters of the steppes, building a fishing village with reinforced vessels. From her early years, Sol developed a love for the water and the power of nature. It was natural for her to be able to call upon the aether of her own soul, and manipulate it into her own element. With better guidance from other spellcasters, Solana would learn the properties of enhancment and augment, from those with knowledge stemming from the magic weavers found in Eorzea.
THE CALAMITY
In the Steppes, the Xaela did not come to experience the calamity immediately, until the quakes began to decemiate their land. Crops died. Livestock fell into creveces. And then the Garleans began to occupy neighboring Doma. Many Xaela clans took up arms to prevent invasion into their lands, and have successfully kept Garlemald at bay; likely due to the terrain and lack of resources.

Solana's tribe suffered casualities, and as a refugee, she found herself sheltered within Oronir territory. In the few years, she has worked and studied her magic so that she might provide assistance to her people.
